I think a poll is in order.....personally, I can not stand the guy, he is a cancer, and I don't want him screwing up the team we are building....say NO to Latrell.

heh, i was like..where's the poll?

I'd take him if he's all that's possible.. but if I had a choice, I'd say no and look elsewhere.

    he is a cancer
    he is a cancer
    he is a cancer
    he is a cancer
    he is a cancer

He will not be happy, especially with only $1.8 MIL

I would rather go with Wesley/Barry/Head at SG and hope for the best than have Spree on this team.

I would say my choices are as follows:

    finley

    spree

    dermarr

    DA

    buckner

I have a feeling that this FA hunt will follow the same suit as the PF's did at the start of the summer. once the most prized FA is signed the rest will fall into place.

    PASS!!!

Although JVG did have a way of controlling Spree in NY when he was there. He had some pretty productive years under JVG. But he is a thug and clearly is out for another payday given his comments last year.

I would prefer we stand pat with who we have and try to make a deal in mid season. I would take DA from Portland or Dan Dickau if we could get them for the LLE.

Van Gundy gets to choose - but I would say "NO", definately NO.

I don't want Yao and Tmac working to make Spree happy. I want the two guard working to make them happy.

Not my first choice, but if he comes cheaply I would take him. Pretty decent defender. Although his attitude scares me I trust JVG. If he wants him then fine.

i do not want him, i do not think he is much of an upgrade over our current SG. Also i think he is bad for our chemistry.(i have to note that i also didn't want wesley when we got him, so what do i know)

If his attitude scares Mr. Scary then I'm worried. :)

If we get him for cheep then he's not a bad option. Spree and Gundy get along well, and it seems that Spree respects Gundy and will listen to him.

I am a huge Spree fan. Tough D, used to be able to dunk hard.

    I can't believe I voted yes.

He's 35 with his best years behind him. His attitude is the most disturbed of most all active NBA players. He can go into a funk that will cost a team games. But I think JVG can handle him and he can handle JVG.

The bottom line is I'd rather have other players but I'd rather have Spree for LLE or better yet, vet min, than use Wesley the whole year. DW is not a bad player but I think we saw from last year that he and Sura cannot last 82 games out there before running out of gas in the end when it most critical. Also Spree's extra height is a plus DW.

A rotation of Sura, James, Spree, Wesley, TMac and Barry is better than Sura, James, Wesley, TMac, Barry and Bowen.

But please, if they do sign him, no more than 2 years.

He is always a cancer. But back in the Knicks' day, he could still play ball. Now he is just too old.

Why do we need an old cancer?
