So, I finally decided to join the world of Twitter, not sure why, not sure what I am going to say, not sure what the reason is....other than......everyone seems to be doing it...so...gonna give it a try.

    Do you guys Tweet?

And if so, what is so cool about it?

    I think I have 2 tweets so far...and somehow, I have a follower.....not sure what exactly for....but...hey......

No. I really don't see the purpose. I don't care about other people's lives that much, nor do I expect to have any followers.

Don't tweet much, but use Twitter as a platform to get all my news, information, and updates to blogs I read.

I do. You'll get spam following you every once in a while. Just ignore them and don't start following them.

I just got it recently to follow a few people and news feeds. I tweet once and a while.

Most likely the follower was searching keywords and picked you up to follow in hopes you follow them. A lot of companies and people trying to advertise will do that.

I have an account, I rarely tweet. I am being followed by several women that won't me to buy their love or something like that. I usually have a hard time thinking what to say. I will also say that Jeff tweets and I have no idea how he finds the time to tweet as often as he does. I usually look at it every day or two but I f I go more than a few days looking at it I end up with about 200 messages backlogged. 190 are from Jeff. BTW this is not criticism of Jeff. He actually uses it in the exact manner that it is supposed to be used.

Hmmm, I am following Clutch, DMorey and Yo_Yo...who tweets a lot....

    :D

I was following AlGore and CNN...but I get that info elsewhere......

It is interesting, I wish you could send photos etc....as my recent trip to GamesCon Europe had some interesting scenery that I would liked to have shared....

    Especially the uh....Amsterdam photos....lol.

I haven't ever really understood how tweeting is any different than long form status updates from myspace or facebook.

I only try to update it with insightful tweets. I can't stand people who update it with every single detail of their lives.

That's the same tired reason people who don't Tweet use.

It CAN be much, much more than that. It all depends who you follow.

I have interests in golf and still photography. I've come across a lot of links using Twitter that I might not have otherwise.

you can upload photos via twitpic or yfrog these are pretty cool for when using a camera phone if your phone has a twitter app you can post the pic

if you dont want it to be public you can always "direct message" the pic to your follower/friend

edit: I dont tweet that much there is a certain member of the Clutch Crew who does though

Twitterfon or Tweetie are the best iPhone Twitter apps IMO

Yeah there are a few iphone apps

i have used twitteriffic, tweetie and tweetdeck i find those to be the most user friendly and have the most features.

you can choose to upload a pic from your iphone library or take a whole new picture to post. it will upload the picture for you then you can type the rest of your message if you have any remaining 140 characters left

Barely... social networking isn't really my thing... I mainly just follow people on Twitter.

I do..... joined a few weeks back and like it.

For me, I have a few actual friends on here so I do yuse it to network. But I also feel its like a mini RSS as I have ESPNEWS and when they break news, its tweeted first. Same with CNN Breaking News, Harvey Levin (of TMZ). Another angle is just for laughs, like following Stephen Colbert, who tweets and argues or disses himself using an alter ego (StephenAtHome) or Russel Brand or Leroy Smith, whose updates are also funny.

    Look me up .... Piscadito81
