Let's say hypothetically you (and only you) were allowed to tryout for a WNBA team. If you prove to be worth keeping on the roster, you would be.

Do you think you would be able to beat out a few women and make a WNBA team?

No way. Unless you are either a D I or D II level college basketball player, I don't see anyone having a shot.

I held my own vs some McDonalds all American players.

She went on to play ball at Texas, so I feel pretty good about that.

I remember a while back there was an exhibition game between a WNBA team and some guys from an entertainment league (actors and musicians, I know Brian McKnight and Nelly were on the team). The dudes got smoked.

This question always amuses me. It's akin to asking can a local tennis club player beat a world ranked tennis player like Kim Clijsters or Maria Sharapova in a tennis match. Most likely you won't even win a game. A lot of people seriously under estimate the level of athleticism that professional female athletes have.

I knew a professor at Marquette U whose husband had once played a pick-up game with a WNBA player, and not even one whose name I recognized. She and my friend's husband played two-on-three against some guys who fancied themselves ballers. But apparently she tore them to shreds, and won even with the two-to-three disadvantage. They just couldn't stop her in the post.

I'm sure that any NBA team could beat any WNBA team on sheer height and muscle alone. But the women are still pros, and I strongly suspect they could beat the snot out of most guys who think they're better just because they're male. I think you'd have had to play some serious college or minor league pro ball to compete, at the very least.

Those chicks know how to ball. They would kick the **** out of just about any guy not a professional.

The woman's game is fundamentally sound.

A lot of people did, kam was the only moniker I remembered. Get a game goin already, brahhhh

And no one on the board would be able to compete in the wnba unless they played college ball. You would have to rely on size and athleticism. Maya Moore would splash all of us

One of my friends was on a practice squad of guys that used to scrimmage against the Comets in training camp and practices. He said they used to kill them in practice and if the games were real they wouldve run those girls off the court.

Wouldn't any guys who can consistently dunk the ball just dunk on WNBA players all day?
