As much as I love the Rockets I don't think they would have won both championships. I think they would have won one of them because the bulls would have won the other one at least. As great as the Bulls was they could have got both of those rings, but I think faith was on the Rockets side, and it was that time for the Dream.

a3po may have to come in and give his two cents.

yes rockets played the bulls well, BUT, they were always tough wins.

7 game series with michael jordan, not as easy as some fans have made it to be

I absolutely think they would have won the year of Clyde's return. Hakeem was the most unstoppable player in the NBA that year. The Bulls would have had no answer for him. I mean look what he did to Robinson and Shaq. Now imagine that guy playing vs. the Chicago frontline of that time. Scary.

In return, Jordan, would at least be countered partially by Drexler.

From 91-93, the rockets won 5 out of 6 regular season games. I know a playoff series is different, but the rockets matched up well with the bulls and the bulls had no answer for hakeem.

Well, I don't see MJ and the Bulls making it to the Finals both years had he not retired. 5 Straight appearances (8 total if you have both 3peats plus the 2 year gap) is something that I don't think any team, even the Bulls, could do. They would have tripped over NY one of those years.

and damn barkley for not getting to stockton in time!

I will say this because it is the truth. Michael Jordan was in the league in 1995 when the rockets won their championship that year bottom line. It doesn't matter that he came late. If your man enough to return ( all the way ready or not) then be man enough to accept the results, they got beat by the Magic and we went on to sweep them in the finals. Nobody gave Magic Johnson excuses when he came back and played the Lakers that year and we beat them. As far as I'm concerned the only question is if we would have won that first championship in 1994.

Yea he played that year but anybody could see that he wasnt the same player. He was out of shape and a lot slower.

We would of won at least one. As great as MJ was, I honestly believe Dream was the best player in the NBA during our two year run.

That's why he scored 55 his first game back...

The Rockets would have destroyed them.

    thats right!

oh, you know why the Bulls won the championship the next year?
    Jordan? no.

The Spurs gave up Rodman for Wennington. That's like giving the rebounding king of the league for a bag of cheetos.

If they didn't get Rodman's rebounding, they'd lose to the Sonics and Jazz.

That's the REAL REASON for Jordan's last 3 championships. He never had to worry about boards.

That's why I hate the Spurs forever.

would bill russell have 11 titles if jordan was playing back then? who gives a f@#k? this is a cleverly disguised knock on the rockets championships.

bottomline is that dream was during that stretch the best player in the nba and every bit as good as jordan was. the knicks already gave jordan's bulls a run for their money in the playoffs and the rockets proved they could take out the knicks. would jordan have 6 rings if we never played seattle?
