Well, this is been discussed, but i was searching the bbs and i didnt find any topic about it (at least in 3 pages). I´ve been reading the "magic number topic" and this is not what i wanna talk about.... The rockets are going to have some hard games to play, almost every game against teams of the west... i dunno, as i rox fan, im looking forward for it... BUT, considering denver, utah and even portland games, i think the rockets has the hardest road games of them all... The basketball we are playing is at least the necessary for a team to have its spot on playoffs. That nba.com "playoff run" counts the rockets as the 7th seed... but they are so "concerned" on predicting the 8th seed that seems that they didnt realize the rockets is only 4 games ahead I want your opinion about it... im not from the USA, so i can rarely see rockets game when it is broadcasted worldwide... so i think u have a better opinion than mine... what do u think?
I don't know if I did the math right, but if the Rockets were to go a mediocre 6-6 to finish the season, Utah, the best nonplayoff team record wise, would have to finish 10-0. Even if we were to lose every game this season, the Jazz would still have to win 4 of their last 10. We should be able to do it.
I think the win against Portland virtually clinched a playoff spot for us because considering we have the tiebreaker over them and Utah and the fact that despite the tough schedule, the Jazz, Nuggets, and Blazers can lose no more than 2 or 3 games, we would have to go like 4-8 to really be on the fringe of NOT making the playoffs. We need to improve are attitude play because we've been on cruise control during our last seven or so games and it cost us a few wins and we almost lost the last two. The referees have really given the Rockets the short end of the stick the last few games in terms of fouls and free throws attempted.
The Rockets would have to lose the majority of the rest of their games and the other teams vying for position would have to win pretty much all of theirs for us to fall out of the playoffs. I just don't see that happening.
Not long ago somebody started a thread and suggested that Rockets won't make the playoff, but suddenly it's all silence here.
In order for the Rockets to not make the playoffs, they would have to have Clutch and the Power Dancers in their linups, and Denver/Portland/Utaw would have to be HOTTER thant hot. I don't see that happening!

I'm pretty sure everyone in Houston would agree that the Rox simply gave up and play the rest of the way like last night and go 0-11 and out of the playoffs. Wait til next year.
dont even THINK about championship what im afraid is that... the rockets go cold and lose the games... the softer game of houston is MIL (next game) if they lose...
