I know, two small deals. And obviously, cap-wise, Rockets win.

    But talent-wise?

I had my doubts about the Bonzi for BJax trade. But I'm uplifted by the Snyder for Green trade, that seems like something with potential. Still, the question remains, do you think this team is actually better then it was with the addition of BJax and Green? Or that the Rockets are giving up this year and looking to put on salary for next year (i.e team has just gotten worse)? It's a pretty good point of discussion, as I'm seeing tons of dissenting opinions on this on other topics; might as well bring it all together.

Are the Rockets better then they were before the trade deadline?

I want to see a game first before I pass judgment. I trust Rick Adelman's judgment and he wanted Bobby Jackson. Magic time, Rick!

If "paper" = money --> Yes.

If "paper" = roster --> Absolutely not.

    If only in that Jackson/Green > Wells/Snyder/James.

we'll see. Remember trading Boki and Jackson for David Wesley. I don't think anybody was happy but he ended up being a great fit. So far i don't think I like it because we were one of the better rebounding teams in the league before the trade, and we just got smaller. On the other hand I've wanted Adelman to make a signature move all season. By signature I mean exactly what JVG did in 04-05 with Wesley. I"d love to know if Adelman does this trade if Cuban were the owner. I really hope Rick knows something we don't about BJ, and it's not just a cap dump.

Rockets got rid of 3 non-hardly playing shooting guards that are knuckleheads.

They got what they got, that's it.

CALL THE TIMEOUT PEOPLE, THESE ARE ALL GOOD TRADES, plus they're leaving cap space and adding possible veteran point guard since Mike James once again failed to do that.

I'd rather have this team and have the capability of making a big trade next year. Being stuck with the former team for 2 years would not work.

With the way NO is playing, we could meet them in the first round with an angry bonzi.

Wells was the ultimate killer if deals were done with out including him then it wouldve been fine but bjax and green do not equal WELLS in my opinion

This will become apparent as Chris Paul begins to make bonzi look like a freakin allstar for the rest of this season and into the playoffs.

    Wesley = total scrub

Boki = solid rotation player that I would love to have back in Houston

Jackson = great role player at the tailend of his career

I would feel good about the trades if we didn't trade within the division. We may have angered Bonzi and James. I could see both of them going off on us later on. I do like Green's upside in his hometown though.

We'll miss Bonzi's rebounding. I just went back to old rockets game and Bonzi was pulling defensive board like a machine. Now it's up to Landry and Chuck to do that, since Yao'll always be the one who box out.
I hope we make it 10 in a row tonight.
    Go ROCKETS

Losing Bonzi for Jackson = bad

Getting rid of James and his contract = good

    Not losing Brooks = good

Not losing any of the other rooks = good

Not seeing David Wesley in Rockets red for the rest of my life = priceless

I still think the Jackson-Boki for Wesley trade was not a good trade. We had a 3rd scorer who could create his own shot for spot up undersized SG. Wesley is a good shooter but I don't think the team was any better with that trade. I think they wanted Wesley more so to handle the ball handling duties when out starting PG was not on the floor. He did not have to do that that much as Tmac handled the ball alot.

isn't really much question that we're worse as a team after those trades.

No chance to pass the first round if we make the playoffs.

Unfortunately, Scrub Wesley coudn't dribble with his head up and was a midget stiff.

I remember multiple times where I watched that scrub try to drive through defenders to the basket with his head looking straight down at the floor. He looked like a fullback trying to run through a defensive line. That football move always ended up with a wild attempt at a layup where he wasn't even looking at the basket.

i dont think anyone can say we've gotten better talent-wise through this trade. if anything we took a half-step back. bonzi wells is flat out better than bobby jackson. however, if jackson can create his own shot then that's something we sorely need. i trust adelman's decision too.

NO Hornet is trading for talent, they are gunning for championship.

Les is trading for $$$, gunning for $$$, it's all about luxury caps and salary dump.
