If the Rockets are really thinking of trading Martin/Scola/Dragic (can't pay him) for a superstar, then either Lee or Ppat will probably have to start. Who is more ready? If we trade for Gasol:
    Dally G Smith
    Gasol Ppat
    Parsons Morris?
    Lee Bud?
    Lowry

If you don't like Gasol then maybe someone like Josh Smith. We still need depth at SG and PG. If Dragic is traded (b/c we won't be able to resign him) then who do we get to backup Lowry? If we needed a backup SG and PG, then who would you shoot for?

    Course they can start

Sign healthy Jermaine Taylor as SG
Mike James - he is playing well
    Ish Smith
    Morris
    Keeping Hill
    Gregory Smith

Both could start, and Patterson maybe should once he is more consistent.

A slightly above start, better than 3-7 and we could be 4th or 5th.

I think lee could be great as a starter. I could see lee getting 14 pts, 6 rbs, 3 asts a game as a starter.

I love Pat but I still wouldn't trust him as a starter

Courtney has been a starter since his rookie days in Orlando and have played in the finals (correct me if i'm wrong). He's not only a way better defender than Martin but he can also hit big threes and slash to the paint.

Trading Kevin Martin is oddly quite similar to Morey trading Aaron Brooks (great offensive player but a liability on D) to let Lowry shine. Courtney Lee would thrive being a starter and getting a lot more playing time.

trade deadline cant come any sooner. I think Lee is a capable starter. Not sure on Patrick but I wouldnt mind having him as our starter. I want him to be more aggressive either way.

Don't forget the 1.8 to 2 steals per game, at least.

They'll both be starters to start the 2012-13 season.

I'm not ready to trust Ppat as a starter. I hope a trade brings us a starting PF.

Lee could start but I also don't think he's as good as many think on this board. I'd trade him while his value is high.

Josh Smith is borderline fools gold. Is he better than Parsons? Right now, yes. Defensively is he better than Parsons? No. Do we need his offense? No. Will he get better? No. Can he play make better than Parsons? No. Beware of the eye candy dunks and blocks...the game is more than that...he's a decent player though--that is why I say borderline.

Lol.... You can say those things about Iguodala as well but their PERs are clearly above Parsons who has a below average 13.

Smith is about 17-18, Iguodala should be around 19,20.

Courtney Lee is not starter material in my opinion. Never will be...

You better have Dwight Howard If you are going to start that guy.

Josh Smith is an absolute monster. Would LOVE to have him. And he is a better defender than Parsons. He just plays a different position.

I like Iguodala's game much better than Smith. My point was that Parsons game will only get better.
