See this is why women shouldnt vote! on a more serious note- this new generation of kids is coming out to be really stupid i guess it's a given with what they watch on television, in the movies, music, and entertainment in general, which has these kids all hopped up, and has given them the IQ of a fish dont even get me started on drinking and drugs man, i feel bad for the future of our nation
There are just as many dumb oldpeople as dumb kids. My dad has been teaching high school and college for almost 40 years and he told me that you'd like to believe they get dumber to make yourself feel better as you get older, but the reality is that there is a sizable percentage of the general population that just isn't that bright, young and old. I see it every day when people my age and older stand there with stupid looks on their faces as they try to work the u-scan-it register at the grocery store or when I get phone calls from my relatives older than me who can't figure out why when they delete something from their hard drives that it is gone forever. I'd love to believe that my generation or older generations are just more intellegent, but I see WAY too much evidence to the contrary.
Holy crap, that annoys me like you wouldn't believe. THEY ARE SO FREAKING EASY TO USE!!!! And if you aren't bright enough to figure it out, go to a regular register. I love the self-checkout stations, but it takes so many people about three times longer than it should . . . Although what's even worse is people who can't figure out how to use the self-checkin stations at the airport. Those things are pretty much foolproof . . . or so I thought . . .
Sorry man, but every generation thinks the newer generations are dumber or less respectful. There were dumb kids in your day and there are dumb kids today. I think what's being exposed more now is the inability of adults from say, my generation, to spell simple words correctly. I understand typos happen, but people that can't spell words such as "infinite" (infinate? huh?) or "dominant" (dominate? huh?) need to be slapped. The Internet is helping expose more of this.
