In that tier of players like Shaq, Duncan, or Garnett. I'm a faithful Rockets fan, but realistically I don't see Yao being more than a 14pt., 9 reb., and 6 assist/game player. Rockets still need a physical power forward to really compliment Yao. I believe if you had an opportunity to trade Yao straightup for Shaq, Duncan, or Garnett, you would.

    What would you do?

From a marketing and economic stand point. Never. Simply, Yao has a larger fan base because of China.

As for winning championships? Yes. I would trade Duncan for Yao as well as KG for Yao. Shaq is getting old and doesn't have enough years left to justify the trade.

Sometimes, it is not about the championships but the overall profits and with Yao on board the Rockets organization is eating well.

Yao has the ability to be the best big man in the league in a few years, right up there with Duncan, KG, Shaq etc.

He has a height advantage over practically anyone, seems to want to be the best, and had a full repertoire of offensive moves as a rookie.

He averaged something around 14/9 already as a rookie when he came off the bench to start the year, so your ceiling for him is really low if you ask me.

Yao is what Aryvdas Sabonis was hyped up to be if he could have come over to the States at a young age.

That is a good thing btw.

I cant believe that someone would think that Yao Ming would only average 14 pts. I bet he averages more then that next year.

Im not really sure how much to predict he will average in a few years but i will take a guess.

    How about...

    27 points
    14 rebounds
    4.5 assists

thats his 2005 season by the way
