Since this thing is selling like hot cakes, I wonder how many CF members have one?

    Few questions:

    What's your opinion on it?

My ans: I think it's alright, but the games available, IMO, aren't that great.

    What games do you have?

My ans: Super Mario 64 (complete trash)
Mario Kart DS (after reading all the hype I am disappointed because I thought it would be a game that I would be playing alot)
Animal Crossing WW (why the hell did i buy this?)
Brain Age (I got this for free at best buy with a coupon... it's decent and not a complete waste)
Elite Beat Agents (the only game that was worth my money... it was real fun because it was challenging and wacky, I really enjoyed it)

Do you play it often or is it collecting dust?

My ans: Yeah I played it often after I bought EBA. But then after I beated EBA, now I don't know what to play. The available DS games just doesn't do it for me.

It's ok. I still think the touch screen is a gimmick for most games. Very few games utilize and take advantage of the touch screen.

    What games do you have?
    Purchased...1. Roms...all

Rarely play it, I only play it when im on a trip and have nothing better to do.

Wow, you don't think there are a lot of good games for the DS? I think there are a ton of them. I love the new Super Marios brothers. One of the most awesome platformers evah.
And I think there plenty of games that use the touch screen very well. Elite Beat Agents is one of them. BTW, I really like the Japanese version of that game a lot better. The songs are much better IMHO even though I don't understand a word.

I'm a bum. I just have a very video game crazy family 'thanks to the younger me'.

McGrady, here's a list of games I would recommend.

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
    Castlevania: Potrait of Ruins
Tetris DS - Fun online. There are some hackers that ruin it and it takes awhile to get a game started.
Advance Wars: Dual Strike - Military strategy game. I've never played it, but if it plays anything like Military Madness, then it's great in my book.
Clubhouse Games - 42 all time classics, online mode is decent.
Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime - If you like cutesy kiddy type of rpg games.
Brain Age - Which you own, I was hooked on the sodoku more than the training.
Mario Kart DS - Another one you own. It's fun if you play it online or with other friends who own a DS.
Trauma Center: Under the Knife - Good game if you ever fantasized about being a doctor. I just skip all the mumbo jumbo and get straight to the operations.
Wario Ware - I enjoyed this game, but it got old pretty fast.
Contact - I highly recommend this game. I probally played this game more than all the other games combined. People say it's a Earth Bound clone (I never played EB so I wouldn't know) but the game is a refreshingly different approach from the typical Final Fantasy rpg's.

I could go on about all the DS games I've played but, I'll spare the bbs my boring rant.

That's kinda surprising; if you liked EBA, then there should be a lot of games to entertain you. There are plenty of quirky games like that on the system.

I have one, and for a while there (before I got my 360) I played it more than any of the last gen systems combined.

Was thinking about picking up Contact, Ace Attorney 2 or Castlevania: PoR just the other day.

I don't own one yet because I can't find one anywhere. It's amazing that it would be sold out after what, a year or so? I found the game I wanted, now to find a DS..... Lol

Yeah I have one, play it often, great on the pooper.

    Games I have:

Advance Wars: Hours and hours of strategery fun.
Mario Bros. DS: Very fun, but gets repetitive.
Elite Beat Agents: Very awesome, needs more levels, and the hard modes are ridiculously hard. Stuck on the very last song, dammit.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow: Symphony of the night on the PS was the best Castlevania game ever. This is pretty much the same thing on the DS, and it's awesome. I have Portrait of Ruin coming in the mail tomorrow. Easily put 25+ hours into this.

Yes there are a lot of crap games for the DS, and a lot of licensed ones that suck, but there are a fair amount of really good games that use the interface well. For portability and straight entertainment, it can't be beat.

I'm sort of looking for a game that others can enjoy and not just for me. Elite Beat Agents is a good example - my friends wanted to play it alot.

Contact doesn't look all that great... I could be wrong.
I have the feeling that Pheonix Wright is a short game that I will put away after I'm done with it.
I'm not really interested in Castlevania.
I'm also not interested in Advanced Wars... I played the one on GBA and it was crap. I don't like portable turn based strategy games unless it's FF Tactics (not the Advanced one).

I don't quite understand...are you talking about multiplayer? If not, then it sounds like you only want a game your friends will enjoy? Sorry, I'm not sure what you are looking for.

The Castlevania ganes and Advance Wars are among the best for the system. I liked New Super Mario and am looking forward to the Dragon Quest stuff.

Trauma Center, Cooking Mama, Brain Academy, Wario; they all remind me of the type of game EBA is.

I have one and I still absolutely love playing the New Mario bros. 2 player mode. Absolute madness and fun there. Final Fantasy III is pretty cool too.

Also, you can't forget that it also plays all Gameboy Advance games. Gives you a lot of chep options to try out from time to time. I still get on River City Ransom EX when I'm in the mood.
