$20 or spend 2 hours sweating my arse off on a weekend. I'll spend the $20 everytime. Besides it's a proven fact that mowing your yard in Houston during the summer takes a month off your life span.

Used to do it myself until my mower died. I started using a sevices while I got my mower fixed. Never got it fix and ended up donating to it a "worthy cause".

Well I'm not a man, but...

I've mowed my family's lawn since I was 13. Never got money for it until I complained that a corner lot like our's would cost like, 30 bucks to get professionally mowed. So finally I got payed 15 for mowing the front and back.

Mowing is one of the easiest and funnest things to do, IMO. I miss it :(

Huh? Mowing your own lawn is good exercise. You will live longer by being in better shape at the end of it.

i have been paying $20 for a guy to come mow/edge my yard. since gas prices have gotten higher, my wife has been writing the check for $25 instead. still a very good deal in my mind. yard work keeps me from my kids when i'm home. i'm willing to pay for that.

I hate, hate, HATE cutting the grass. I seriously loathe even the thought of it. I don't mind working in the yard when need be, but I will not cut even the tiny amount of grass that covers my ditch and areas around the periphery of my house. I pay someone to do it because the thought of doing it myself makes me ill.

Yeah I pay a guy to mow my yard, but I don't pay for a lawn mower, a weedeater, a blower or gas or maintenance for them. And I don't have to keep that smelly crap in my neat and spacious garage. The guy that does it does it for a living, he needs the money........and I don't like to sweat

My wife does the flower beds too!
