Definitely not. Trevor is what the team needs. Maybe not this year, but in the future years for sure. No doubt about it... I'm sure it drains too much of the team's energy keeping Ron in check.
We just have this different things to cringe for. Either Artest dribbling on top of the key for 20 sec and throw a contested jump shot or Ariza driving head down in the lane, jump stop, and have no where to go.
I miss Ron Artest the person more than I miss Ron Artest the ball player. He seems like a real cool down to earth guy.
It was ok,to have him with a healthy Yao,and there is no doubt that we wouldn't have made it to the 2nd round without him,but I think he would have been a negative influence around the young guys in particular. I don't miss him at all.
that dude you mention has no street cred, only teenage adidas outlet cred street cred=Ron <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z3_xmYLBnnA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z3_xmYLBnnA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Well T-mac has gotten into his fair share of fights or confrontations on the NBA court. Ron backed away from Ben. But to answer your question I sort of miss him, I don't hold a grudge like most people do on this board. He could be frustrating to watch at times but Ron was a good guy. It is kind of funny how people said Trevor would be a way better fit for this particular team over Ron. At this point they both were frustrating to watch at times for Houston. In fact Trevor has been way more frustrating to watch for me.
Tru Warior is fun to have around for one year, but his act probably gets tiresome very quickly after that. His tenure in Houston was the perfect length.

Sometimes it can be downright frustrating. But he gets the job done.
I was missing him until he throws Ariza's shoe and starts to talk trash about Houston. He was the enemy of Kobe and LA bcause they were the guys being dirty to Artest last year, while we gave him the leadership and respect . He turned rude to us and that was totally unnecessary.
I think Ron is overall a better player than Ariza and certainly a more entertaining personality for fans. But Ariza is the right fit for the Rockets. I think. Ron tends to freelance too much, he probably doesn't do it as much in LA because there are other talented guys and he accepts the pecking order. I can't imagine Ron deferring to Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry. I think if Ron freelances like he did last season with this team, his shooting numbers would probably look as ugly as Ariza's (not that Ron scored that efficiently last year, he was nice from beyond the arc, but otherwise is a low efficiency scorer). Ron got something like 20% of his inside shots blocked, which is just hilarious. I think Ron would have worked with Yao back-- just not when he's the most famous (and best paid) guy on the team and feel like he has to be the man for the team to win. Ariza, for all his faults, is still young and I think has room for improvemetn. I think his numbers will go up with more easy spot-up opportunities. I think his dumb looking drive will become rarer when there is someone else to distort the defense. Also, though he shoots quite a bit, I dont' think Ariza dances and stops the ball as much as Ron did. To the extent hs has flaws, Ariza has greater potential to change than Ron does.
