People say if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life? However my question is for how many people does this actually apply for?
first you ask if I like my job? yes Do I love it? no. There's probably only 10% of people who love their job
probably less than that. best to just find something you can like and can tolerate doing for a long time. not many jobs that you can absolutely love, to a point where it doesnt seem like work at all.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I do love my job. The hours are long, but I think that goes for everyone. When you have the opportunity to give back or make a difference in the life of another person each day, the job becomes less of a job and more of a lifestyle. I went from journalism into education. I'd say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Hmm, I hope I feel the same way when I eventually graduate and start teaching. What subject and grade do you teach? I'm almost starting to second guess myself after having switched from Accounting.
I like what I do, I just hate the place where I work. The ****ty (altho MILF) supervisor and jealous coworkers make it impossible to love my job.
I enjoy my job, but I wouldn't say I love it. I think a lot of job satisfaction is tied up in the people you work with. If you hate the people you work with, you are going to be miserable, even if the job itself is cool. If you like the people you work with, almost any job can become bearable, or even enjoyable. I've tried very hard through my career to maintain good relationships with the people I work with, even those who are hard to get along with. I'm not a Pollyanna at work by any means, but its often easier to just be nice and get along with your coworkers if you can. Only one time in my life have I worked with someone that was just terrible, and nothing I did made working with this person any better. I finally took charge of the situation and made the necessary changes that I no longer had to deal with the person, but for the most part, I've been very successful in having good relationships with those I work with.
THIS. There are plenty of interesting aspects to my job, but I'm pretty sure a nutless monkey could do my job most of the time, however I get paid a lot to do it. So overall, it's decent, and I like it most days. But when the going gets tough, my coworkers are what keep me from walking.
What she said...your coworkers make the job/environment more tolerable.... I will say I am happy to have a job/paycheck every two weeks...am I challenged? hell no, so i don't love it plus far away from my family..if this job was in Texas, I'd like it a lot more...
Don't really care for it, but it pays insanely well for what someone with my experience should get, so I don't have any problems with it.
I agree. You asked two distinctly different questions. Like in the title, love in the poll. I like my job a lot but I don't love it. I can do without it, I just need the money.
