It'd be interesting to see if these threads last so long because people like them or because they don't, or if people post these just to see how many responses they can get, or because they're starting discussions people sincerely want to be part of...

From a Rox fan since before 'Akeem'.

Its just peoples way of screaming for attention.

Kinda like when a baby cries and throws things when they are upset.

There's arguing about certain topics and then there's discussions on why you argued in those topics.

This is one of those latter things.

There should be some rules set:

1st - Warning to these thread starters
2nd - Temp ban for a few days
    3rd - Permanent ban

I don't like them and think they're silly because they always pop up after Bad showings.

the opposite is true as well...we beat the Mavs and the next day we get threads about the Rockets as title contenders. :)

i guess we should expect ALL of that. it goes with the territory..it's a fans' website.

Yeah, that's true. I guess I don't like either but I'm just a citizen among many

I think they are wonderful threads. In fact, Charvo and Tooth Yanker should be nominated for moderators. Of course this means we have to give up a Kagy or a keeley, but I'm sure we'd all be willing to sacrifice one for the team.

    Gooo Rockets!

I am a Yao Ming fan, I really want him to do well, to reach his potential. However, I am a Rockets fan first. Ming has now taken Francis' place in my "most frustrating player to watch" category. But, the "trade" threads are ridiculous after a bad performance. Ming played so poorly last night many fans probably felt like trading him, but he is a project and let's move on.

I wish they would all be closed immediately (as far as T-Mac and Yao are concerned). Some of them are just so ridiculous.

Everyone else should be fair game for hypothetical trade scenarios, though :D.

this happens every year with whoever the current fallguy is...

if folks would ignore them and not post anything in the threads...they would soon fall off the front page into oblivion...

but that is a unrealistic expectation.....

    still..couldnt we at least try?
