Kind of hard to say "no hard feelings" to people who call you evil to your face. So I just avoid this place more and more.
Yeah, I'm just kidding. It's not incumbent on us to only be good sports in taking the jabs. We need to be good sports in delivering them as well. SamFisher has never said one single decent thing about me and he's said plenty of ugly things about me, but I'd love to meet him anyway... and not for any reason that you might be surmising. He's the one interested in martial arts-- not me. Here's the secret: I don't believe the stuff he says about me. It is so much fun to surprise people....
Well, if these two guys can get along in "real life", anyone can. I'm pretty sure I would get along with 99.999% of the people who post in this forum even though I disagree with most of them. After all, this is a Rocket website and we are all Rocket fans. For my money, that's more important than any bizarre political leanings. Hell, most of my friends are libs. I don't even hold it against them. How's that for compassion?
Aren't we all at least Rockets fans? That's one thing we aren't going to hate each other for, except for those damn YOF's..mutter..grumble.. Just kidding. Generally I try to keep one cardinal rule about internet forums which is never take things personally. I have some strong disagreements with some posters but other than that there's nothing anyone here, that I know of, has done to make me hate them or have any affect on my life beyond the time I spend here that could be spent elsewhere. Now Karl Malone on the other hand...

I saw that story, the most amazing part to me was that they only used blunt melee weapons, no tec-9's or saturday night specials or knives, just bats & shovels & fists, gangs of new york style. What the hell was that about? Turn back the clock night?
That was awesome imadrummer. Thanks for the blast from the past. And for reminding me Jorge is a right guy. He made it to the play, staked a date on it and sweated through the second act. He's alright by me. Also giddy invited me to lunch in NC, though I couldn't make it out and I watched a playoff game with rrj_gamz (and rimrocker, but we agree on politics). AND bama's buying my beer next time I'm in ATL. There's nobody here I wouldn't be happy to meet.
I guess this place kind of reminds me of those Looney Tunes about the sheep dog vs. Wiley Coyote. We can get along outside the confines of this place.
I'm quite sure we could; I'm also quite sure unlike the cartoon that we can get along inside these confines. Collectively, we have lengthened ignore lists and even driven people away from this place with the personal attacks.
I won't make judgements on anybody based on chat and message board stuff. That isn't a complete picture of a person. I know it's not a complete picture of me. There are a few people I talk politics with, but in general I don't walk around discussing politics. I also don't hold differing opinions against anyone. So if we disagree, I can accept that. I would happily meet anybody from this board.
