I know this may sound a little weird...but do I suck? Every time I post something no one comments. Also, if you look throughout posts that I've commented on, I'm either not acknowledged, or I'm the last one to post. I kill good posts. Has anyone been paying attention to my posts? Do any of you people have any advise on how I can become a more interesting member??? Before the season starts I need to figure out what's wrong with me. That's my goal. ------------------

Well, there have been a bunch of threads that havent received a lot of notice, but that happens. Only way it doesnt is if you are already really known or just happened to have a lot of posts tallied. Try to refrain from the obvious and post your opinion on things that will strike interest in other posters and then they should be coming your way. Also, it sometimes helps to leave a question or to put all your letters in caps for the thread, but not too much because it can sort of be annoying. Well, anyways, good luck.

Good topic. More people should be this conscientious. Now, look fro, I don't mean to sound like an impatient older brother still pissed that you, in effect, stole my 1989 Caprice, but ... I think you generally have good posts. Your TB-3 reset was as classic as any, and that was just a signature. But the problem to which you are referring is twofold, as I see it. #1 Your writing can get jumbled occasionally. People can only take in so much info in every post/sentence/paragraph etc. Do not try too hard to get a laugh or cram too many pieces of info into each sentence. Keep it simple. For example: Wordy: "Ok, what do we, as people who don't play in the NBA or really know anything about basket ball, actually know about Walt williams? We don't really know he provides vetran leadership, people here don't even know what that means, we've just heard it exists. We do know that he could not score when it counted, and he couldn't play Defense ever. Why on earth would we want to keep him? Becuase we've heard he provides intangibles? B.S. he sucks, he's old, he's expensive, and he has no clutch. He had a season to not give us what we needed, that's enough for me. ." Concise: "Chucky Brown rules." Y'see? Secondly, trying to have the last word can kill a thread - opening up cans of worms must have a certain obtuse, 'what do you think' vibe in them, not a 'here's what i think and thats that' vibe. Just remember you are a fan. And as a fan what do you want to know about the Rockets. I read all the publications that I can read about the Rockets. And by no mean do I get everything, just a couple. And eveytime I get one of these magazines there is something empty that I get from the article. As if something else could have been there. You get to the point where you just want to discuss it to futher detail with guys who care about it as much as you do. But remember you can never over do it. Then you trully will burn out like some other posters to this BBS (K.I.S.S). Keep your disciple and read the ones that spark your interest; you are not getting paid to comment on all threads, but by all means read all you can that spark your interest. If you write with intensity and interest you've done your job. And you will get responses. And don't worry about responses, believe me they've read it. I've written threads where I get no Responses; 3 weeks later someone refers back to that dead thread. Oh and be careful, though we deal with sports fanatics, these guys have great memories. Don't be fickled. They'll read you like a book and ignore you if you change opinions like night and day every day. Thanks you guys. I'm gonna try and get better. CBFC, I will try and keep things more simple. Fellow post killers, I did not know you were in such numbers. Let us band together! A Support group perhaps. Lets start going through old posts, finding times that we killed good ones and add a posts to them, like "great point there kissofdeath" or "man, I never thought of it that way Nomar".
