I am looking for a job right now, and I heard a good resume makes all the difference. It's a difference between interview and no interview.

Anyway, I want to work on my resume. Does anyone of you know if there is a good resume teaching/toolkit website out there? There are a million of them on search engines, but I don't know which one is better.

Has anyone of you used any of them and can give positive comments on one?

    Thanks!

Just post your resume here, I'm sure the intelligen and polite members of the bbs will treat it with the utmost respect. bwahhahaha

otherwise, try wetfeet.com, but you really want to cater it to your specific field and not just rely on a resume website that is really general.

    Job searching sucks.

A few things that I used. Don't exaggerate but don't play down your skills/experience. You need something that catches the eye of the HR person while not making them think that it's a lie while they are giving it the second look.

Always list contact info clearly, and put as much skills as possible if it's going through an online database (computers scan for key words). But be concise, don't use 10 words to say something you can do in five.

If sent to an actual person, always include an cover letter (spend some time to create several really good templates, just remeber to change the dates and names of the company).

I'm still trying to mix and match the best results I can. But I can definitely say that I've had more success (more interviews) and eventually got an offer doing the things above. Now I just hope the offer stands by the time I finish college because it would sure be great to be finally working and self suffecient.
