Do women want a strong, forceful man to stand up for them?

    I was in the park the other day with my girlfriend and my 4 year old nephew. I was sitting on a nearby bench reading my 48 Laws of Power book.My nephew was playing having fun in a sandbox playing along with another toddler around his same age. The other toddler started throwing sand towards my nephew and my girlfriend politely told the little boy to play fair and to not throw sand at anyone.

    Out of nowhere a 6'5 man weighing easily 250lbs yelled out to the sanbox. He told his son he can throw sand wherever he wanted and that if we did not like it we could leave. I stood up out my bench and tried to reason with the man, but he was not having any of it. I got more angry and was on my way to approach the man face to face, but I stopped myself. Instead of heading towards the man I just got my nephew and my girlfriend and left the park. My girlfriend was mad that I did not fight the man, but I thought I had too much to lose if I got into a fist fight with the man. He was way bigger than me and even if I gave him best shot, I still would of got my behind handed to me. What if I got arrested or lost a tooth in the fight?

    Do women want a man that will fight for them in any circumstances? I felt I did the right thing but still not sure what women want when it comes to situations like these..

    Your girlfriend is a trick and a hood rat. Tell her to date a guy strung out on crack if she wants a "man" who can pick fights at playgrounds in front of kids.

    Women want men that are CAPABLE of taking care of them in any situation. They don't want their men to necessarily take care of them but they do want a man they fell that CAN.

    It's easy for her to be mad that you didn't put yourself at risk. She wasn't the one who was standing to get their ass handed to them. Also, I echo whoever said I would really question a girl who would be willing to have her man throw down in front of a bunch of little kids. I don't have a problem standing up for myself, or the people I care about, but circumstances are circumstances, and she needs to understand that. What if you were the father of her children? Would she still want you to put your life or well-being at risk then? I never understood women like this....it's one thing to feel safe around your man....it's quite another to expect him to put his own livelihood at risk for some pride.

    I think we should turn the tables and let woman fight each other.. See how they feel since they love confrontation and squabble so much.. When someone goes to a park, it is a leisure time and relaxation.. If she wants action let her watch 2 kids in a sandbox or whatever snuff film you can snatch of the internet...

    My thoughts:

    Your girl has some issues. My first guess is that she doesn't know much about fights except what she sees on TV. She doesn't realize you can be disfigured, crippled or killed faster than she can blink. Either that or she is straight ghetto trash. If it's the former you need to educate her and tell her to grow up. If it's the latter you need to drop the skank.

    You did the right thing. Even if this was someone you could have taken it is still a horrible idea to get into a fight. Nothing good comes out of fighting and doing it in front of kids makes it 10x worse. Even posturing is r****ded. If you must fight you cheap shot and GTFO fast!

    I've dated women who wanted me to defend their honor when they got themselves into altercations. "Dated" being the key word. I wouldn't waste my time with a woman like that again.
