Would you guys give EG another chance? he seemed to be playing decent at Minnesota, not amazing, but we haven't heard of too many negative off the court problems either. He can probably had for cheap, he's only 23, and he leads the wolves in Blks/game at 1.7 in only 21mpg of playing time. He shoots 34% from the three which is something we'd like from our PF, he can run the floor and rebound pretty well (6+ boards / game in 21 min). I still like the kid and hope that his troubles are behind him, however, some one with a head case like he does probably is going to be a risk for a longtime, but hey, even after Sprewell choked Carlisimo, he's been ok until he couldn't feed his family so people can change for the better.

Given our PF situation, I say why not if he can be had for cheap. He is actually fairly complementary to Yao with good rebounding and shot blocking ability and a decent jump shot.

He's too inconsistent and shoots too low of a percentage.

I don't like the guy. But all we really need is an inside presence to block shots and help Yao stay out of foul trouble. We have nobody that does that now. Let the points come from somewhere else.

If it came down to us having no other better options, sure. But let's not forget, he's been one of the few relatively bright spots from this year's Timblerwolves team so it isn't like McHale is just going to let him walk for peanuts. All of you people thinking he can be had for cheap, think again. He won't get Swift, Chandler or Dalembert money but he will pull in a decent payday.

Whoever his agent is knows what he's doing. He has the guy focus and play solid on a one-year deal so he prove to teams he can play a full season without any distractions thus improving his market value. Now he can sign a decent, multi-year contract with a suitor this offseason and be set for the immediate future.

He's still not that good given the baggage. I heard the Minnesota commentator rag on him for taking too many 3s.

I'd rather have Marshall or Swift but Griffin wouldn't that bad as long as he's got all his troubles behind him. Playing w/Weathersoon and Padgett at the 4 makes me long for the days of Mo and Eddie. J/K. But Eddie would be nice, cuz he can block shots and open up things for Yao in the post w/his three point shooting. Although his 3point percentage isn't that great, at least U have to respect it somewhat.
