This is my first thread so be easy on me. :) I been thinking do we really need Bosh to be a championship team? Now that Scola has his Lowry(Hill)someone who does all the things we really wanted Landry to do more of like post D,rebounding, shot blocking.

I haven't seen Hill Block one shot.

Do we need Bosh? Who knows but he would put us over the top and make us contenders. We would be able to matchup against the lakers.

Yao and Bosh together would be the best front court in the NBA.

Bosh would be great to have, but seeing as Scola would probably be included in the S&T I dont think he would upgrade us all THAT much. By that much I mean Salary, Ego, production etc....

Whatever happens, I hope Daryl keeps one thing in mind, Chemistry. This team has a good chemistry, and has had one for some time. Clearly, the loss of landry affected that a little bit. So this off season, I hope we don't trade too many of our core guys to where our team is different from top to bottom. Anyways, I trust morey.

This is why we need to give Hill as much playing time as possible. We need to find out exactly what we have in this young man. The early returns look very promising. Hill is the most athletic big man we have had since Dream. If he starts fulfilling his massive potential then we won't have near as much need for Bosh. With Yao's health issues we need someone who can step in for him as well as play long side him. We need to use the rest of this season to find out if Hill can be that person or if not Bosh should be a target.

Hill hasn't block any shots yet but he can.And the other team players know he can. So with there being a chance that they could get block shouldn't that be good enough to players rush there shots our at lest think twice about going to the hole.

If we get Bosh, that will be great. If not, well getting Yao back, and barring any injuries we will be a contender. Loosing Landry hurt, but we basically got Kevin Martin for him. Yes I know we also traded Tmac, but he was available to us and was ostracized by the team. I see alot of post about needing a power foward. I think Scola is doing a good job, what we do need is another big (Center or Power Foward) to back up Yao and Scola. Hill shows promise.
Getting another star will be great, but if we don't don't worry, we have a big three in Yao, Martin and Brooks that can score alot of points. If we can't get Bosh, I hope we can get a Marcus Camby. Give credit to Morey, he got Dorsey as his back up big man and that did not pan out and he picked up Hill who has far more potential.

I swear this is just like a couple months ago Dorsey had 1 good game after 2 years of DLeague and everyone thought he was the next Shaq!

Scola is the best PF right now in terms of performance, consistency, price, and HEALTH.

So to trade him away is stupid unless we're building a team from scratch with young talents.

Having Yao next year, teh best center, and Scola, the hard-working bunny, AB-Lowry combo, hot 3pt shooting point guard and penetraing PG, Battier and Ariza , the toughest and smartest defender in the league, and efficient shooter Kmart, WE'RE ON FOR ANOTHER TITLE.

Yao proved that he's tougher by himself than the entire lakers frontline last year.

    +1

    To expand:

Current team + Yao + ~13th pick = 2nd level contender behind the best western teams. Likely a 4 or 5 seed again.

Current team + Yao + Bosh - Aaron brooks - Scola/Hill - Battier = Same level as Lakers/Nuggets/Mavs. I assume no other rotation player will go to the Raptors, and we'd fill out our offer with a lot of picks.

You're right about that.. But he changed a lot of shots in the Detroit and Washington game, and he contested a lot more.. especially against the taller/athletic players like Blatche, Villanueva and Maxiell

If morey could do that, i would be all for it,but it seems unrealistic think Toronto will trade there only star player without at lest getting one of AB,Hill,Scola and our pick this year.

They are a few other teams with softer front line than Rockets. I would like to know how you define softest.

any front court with Pau Gasol will always be the softest.
