It was reported that Telfair will leave Boston soon. I know player with off court problems ever hurt Rockets, but I believe JVG is the right coach who can control and develop this type of young players. Telfair's penetration can be compared to Manu and it can help Rockets in tough nights. BTW, his shooting is good, obsolutely better than Span or Lucas.
Asked and answered in here. It was a merged thread so look about 2/3 of the way down the 1st page. Post was by Egypt.
Coming to be a starter in Portland to a non-factor on one of the worst teams in the league I am tempted to say, no, I don't want him. He may have talent, but I rather take someone proven at the pointguard position to complement Rafer, which we may land when we go far in the playoffs for not that much money - meaning we are an attractive team to join.
No. Telfair is not a shooter. Under this JVG system of play, our guards must be able to shoot since T-Mac and Yao get so much attention. So the Rockets should pass on this guy. Telfair needs to learn how to shoot a basketball to be a good PG in this league.
He would be a bust here. The guy can shoot s*** outside 17ft and is a terrible defender. He's like a Vspan who traded defense for a lil quickness.
