He is on his way outta Golden state for sure, Nellie doesn't want him.

    Pro's:
    -Great scorer
    -create his own shot
    -decent playmaker

    Cons:
    -super erratic/streaky shooting
    -kinda soft
    -plays almost no defense

But if we play him with Artest or Battier, I think we can hide his defensive flaws. He might be the best we can get because getting Dwade or JJ would be almost impossible.

I would rather have Monta Ellis and Corey Maggette for Tmac.

^^ Why would the Warriors ever do that? Why?? Give up their future for a brokeback star on his way to retirement?

I believe the cons outweigh the pros. He seems to have a negative attitude towards team play. Looks out for his stats IMO.

    I didn't say they would.....just said I would rather have those 2.

However, this will be an interesting off season.....teams are in dire financial difficulties, a well positioned team like the Rockets could seriously take advantage.

I don't think Crawford is a good fit here. He's too ball dominant

I'd like McGrady gone, but Maggette is a horrible addition for any team that aspires to play in the postseason. Besides, both he and Ellis have insane contracts. I'd rather Marbury McGrady and get the tax/cap relief in 2010.

I agree about the offseason, but how well positioned are the Rockets? Les is clearly not okay with crossing the tax line, which is going to drop about $5M this summer.
We could be in a bad position of having to choose between Battier or Artest over shaving $7M to stay at the line.
The only saving grace is that the money saved from medical insurance on Tracy's contract could balance out the lost sponsor/ticket revenue and potential luxury tax payments.

Dallas is in far better position to make moves, especially with Kidd's $21M coming up, Cuban's pockets, and Stackhouse becoming an expiring deal.

I think we could trade McGrady but we would have to land in return one good player and one large expiring contract. When I say "good," I mean, "Not earth-shaking, but someone who would fit in with this team." AKA, McGrady to Sacramento for Nocioni (good role player), and take KThomas' expiring contract. We need to keep a good amount of cap space if we hold onto some of these players in 2010 (Landry, Scola, Brooks, Lowry).

Unless we trade away some of these young guys with McGrady to land two or three larger-contract good players, removing our need for re-signing free agents in 2010, etc etc.

    Nope...Joe Johnson...Dwade...

All these other guys are chuckers, and realistically not better than Wafer.

I am ok for going after Crawford with MLE, but not for more than that. I think Crawford can be used as a closer since he can make a tough shot occasionaly.

    Are you serious?

So if someone offered Wade, J.J., or Wafer, you wouldn't care which one you get?
