I think there's a difference between losing and losing the way the Rockets have been all these years. Not exactly season by season, but this pretty much sums it up since those two special seasons. The game 6 shot that ended the season Followed by consecutive first round exits The end of a era and the start of a new The trade for the superstar to be paired with another that ended up being... The 40 point beat down in game 7 The season ruined by injuries The game 7 loss at home The streak with the second injury The third injury in game 3 The fourth and final injury.. and end of the era. HOPE 0.8 Runner-up. The season of hell. The game 5 OT and game 6 meltdown. Okay, maybe we don't exactly deserve this. But can we talk about this? Can we throw a pity party in this thread? If not then that's cool, too. It's just that this consistent level of disappointment can't last forever, right? The strange thing is that it feels like those who are not us hope for this to continue happening to us which does bring up the question in my head: if we do this deserve this then why?
if we keep building around a proven choker in an time where only 2 teams will be competing for the title than yes we deserve it
We over-achieved the expectations that were before the season started. All good with me. Sure, it was a disappointing game 6, but we did our best this season, I guess.
