I'm curious whether members of the Houston media read these boards. I imagine they do, as it would give them real-time fan feedback on issues, without them having to go out in the community and ask people. I wonder, Clutch or Jeff or any other crew member, has any media member told you that they are a big fan or that they regularly read (or even post)?

My curiosity was sparked this morning when I read this line by Jerome Solomon:

    Pitfalls aplenty
OU-Texas survivor not a sure bet in South
    By JEROME SOLOMON

    Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle
Common wisdom suggests Oct. 12 is the date the Big 12 South race will be decided -- Texas-Oklahoma, CASE CLOSED.

Dang it, I meant to spell Chronicle properly. If there is a way to edit that, I would like to before RM95 and Timing try to sell me hooked on phonics.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're the person that originated the phrase "Case Closed"...

Jeez. I mean, its nice and all that you try so hard to create a board personality, I guess, if you're into that sort of thing. But please don't tell me your ego is really that starved?....

So when the cops solve a murder and say case closed...do they pay you a royalty? :D

I think there was a book on the Kennedy assassination that came out about 10 years ago called "Case Closed."

Oops -- I honestly didn't mean for it to come across that way. I was attempting (a futile attempt) to be funny with the part about the quote.

My question was sincere, though, about whether or not the media reads this stuff.

I think this is the board's way of saying "come up with something different than CASE CLOSED."
