I caught a snippet of an TV interview with Kelly - she was talking about how fame hasnt changed her at all, she still lives in the same town as she grew up in and doesn't get stopped in the street....her quote was "I live in Texas - so no one cares".
That's is pretty typical for Texas. We don't get awestruck unless you are quarterback for very successful local football team. That is a reason why some movie stars move to austin.
Good for her. She kind of fell ass-backwards into fame, but she seems to have the pipes and sufficient positive self-image to maintain a decent career without altering her personality or oversexualizing herself.
Which is probably one of the main reasons she doesn't get much attention. She doesn't fit the profile of a star and the hotness factor is not there.
I don't really follow her, but I like her songs enough. Personally, I think she's living better than the big time celebrities in Hollywood. Plenty of money, quite famous, yet has a private life she can enjoy without any hassles.
i dont not care about her. she doesnt offend me in anyway, which is more than i can say for most pop stars out there today.
Once saw Woody H. and that Wilson brother with the nose at a music venue/bar in Austin. Nobody gave a crap. It was perfect for everyone.
I DO, sir. SHE IS THE BEST of the singers from that American Idol show everyone watches... She has a versatile voice and a style of her own. She has had more hits, I would bet, than most of the other AI winners... she's still racking up hits... I didn't like her previous CD compilation, but I constantly listen to her older songs... And, she's classy and behaves well, and she doesn't make racy videos. I wished Ruben Studdard were making more songs. He is an awesome singer... I've only heard his gospel stuff. Kelly is HOT.
i think kelly is a pretty lady i'll admit that breakaway song of hers was stuck in my head for a while
Kelly Clarkson is outside of my Monkeysphere, so when it comes down to it, no, I probably don't care about her. But she's one of the few good things to come out of that abomination that is American Idol. She's down-to-earth, not caught up in her own fame, and quite talented.
