With the prospect of T-Mac missing extended time, it may make sense to make a move for Stack. What do you all think?

If the Mavs don't want him , I certnaily don't.

It's not like he is a young player who can turn it around , he is old and probably washed up.

have you seen him play this year?

I really have no need for him in a Rockets uniform.

I think we can fill in with what we have. Increase Wafer's minutes a bit to see what he's made of, and when Battier comes back move Artest to the 2 some.

We need frontcourt depth, not backcourt depth.

Stack in a front running fool....remember when he got traded or almost got traded and he said it was no big deal because he wasn't going to report to camp and wait for a buyout so he could sign with the Mavs again because they were his team? and now that his team isn't doing good and he wants to jump ship......he is no better than Pat Riley

Let's not go too far, Riley is a lot worse. It was Stan Van Gundy who put had everything set up, Riley just clicked the button for the miami champ run

IF Tmac is out for awhile, I don't think it would be a bad idea to take Stackhouse AFTER a buyout.

He could sign for the minimum. If he's still trying to be competitive, the Rockets certainly offer him that chance.

The only problem is making room for Deke later in the season.

Goodbye Luther? Von is making the most of your minutes.

Anyway, bring him on as insurance. He still can score...and he burns us almost every year.

I agree. It only makes sense to sign at the vet min after a buyout. He can still shoot the trey and finish, and he's got length. Obviously, he is a douche, but he would only be a temp solution.

I would rather not watch the Rockets than have that trash on my team.

NO!!! Maybe a few years ago. We have enough aging guys on our team and I'd rather see our young guys, especially Wafer, get an extended role.

Stack is just about done. He can't shoot or do much of anything anymore. Why would the Rockets want him with a fresh-legged Von Rafer and veteran Brent Barry already on the team? Plus, they already have Ron Artest as an "enforcer".

Stack isn't good enough to be a rotation player on a decent team and doesn't want to face up to it. Forget how he used to abuse Luther. That was 3-4 years ago.

    Just say no.

    NO WAY !!

Stack is a player that is very limited now, but doesn't KNOW he is limited.

Agree, frontcourt size would help the current rockets much more than another swingman where the rockets are currently stacked. The player I would take from the Mavs would be Desagna Diop.

It makes sense to add him for vet mini, The question is do Morey think there is a bigger fish out there to be have?

stackhouse certainly would be an upgrade to Head.

    imagine lineup of

    Tmac,
    Battier
    Stackhouse
    Artest, and
    Yao.

He's a low percentage shooting, washed up, injury-prone cancer with an extremely strong personality.

He is old,we don't need old person,we have old guy,Barry maybe Mutombo someday later, that's enough. In addition we have some good guys, they played very well,we should give them much time.Although he is a good player(attended all star). As a forward,we have Hayes already,as a guard we have Wafer he is younger. We don't need :)
