What is a DLL file and how do I replace one if a certain file is missing? Whenever I try to open my Adobe photo program, it says that "PD2.DLL cannot be found". HELP!

A .dll is part of a program. Most programs install the .dll's in either their own install directory or sometimes in the windows directory. The .exe is the main program and the .dll has code or data that is shared with other .exe's. Did you uninstall it by accident?

No, I had to re-install Windows on top of itself in order to get my system to load properly, and suddenly all these DLL files are missing. I tried re-installing the program, but it still didn't work.

Try searching for it on Kazaa. There are always a couple of morons that share their entire hard drive.

I tried searching for it on the net; all I found was this, a site that you have to pay to download from. You might have more luck searching for the others on the net.

You reinstalled windows on top of itself??
best way is to format the hard drive and start from scratch.

Is this Photoshop Deluxe 2? Did you uninstall it before reinstalling it?

That's good. At times, things can get hosed in the Windows registry. Reinstalling a program may not help. Uninstalling it will generally clear out hosed entries.
