I'm having issues viewing movies on Divx for MP4 and other formats. What are you guys using?

    Quicktime?

    DIVx player?

    VLC?

These are all free players. DivX's annoying "would you like to upgrade?" messages are annoying.

I view via Boxee on a Mac that I don't do anything else with. So there aren't any extra codecs being added or broken.

On windows I usually load the K-Lite codec pack.

Yeah... I've been using Divx for several years but ever since I did the upgrade, a lot of the movies I had before aren't playing anymore.

Thanks for the info guys. I gave rep to who I can. I couldn't give anything to Bull. I couldn't give anything to swoly because he tends to jump into the worst possible scenario.

If you are using Windows. Get rid of DIVX player.

All you need is Windows Media Player, VLC and Media Player Classic(home cinema). They will play almost anything with Shark007 codec or k-lite codec. But for me Shark007 is the best codec for Windows 7 64 ro 32bit OS. If you want to view video(s) frame by frame just using the arrow key Media Player Classic(home cinema) can do that.

I watch movies on my iPod. It gets rid of most of the hassle of all that codec crap. Well, at least in my opinion. My favorite movie is "Hardcore Sluts V".

I use KMPlayer. I was having trouble playing HD movies with VLC (maybe because of my old processor) and Divx player took forever to load. KMPlayer is fast has a lot of options and plays HD movies along with every other video format effortlessly; use it exclusively now instead of VLC.
