In China, this is a common concept. The girl loves me,but I don't know how to describe my feeling for her. And I don't know if I should accept her.
I am going to take national college exam next year, I am concern that falling in love will effect my study. :(

    在中国,这是一个很普遍的观念。那个女生喜欢我,但是我不知道该怎么形容自己对她的感觉。我不知道自己是否应该接受她……
    而且我明年就要高考了,我很担心恋爱会影响我的学习。 :(

Just avoid sex the night before a big game; or test. It will sap your abilities.

It depends. My freshmen year of college I failed out because of a girl. I was heart broken and was acting like a douche afterwards. Now, not so much. I love my girlfriend, but in a way I've learned to turn off how I feel and go to class and deal. Case in point: last semester my dad had open heart surgery the week of my midterms. I was in tears every minute outside of class, worried to death, but when I went into class I turned that part of me off and did well. In fact, last semester was possibly my strongest semester in my academic career. It's all in if you can separate your academic life from your personal one.

Sorry, I was just joking and didn't know your age.

When you're young, the emotions you're feeling can be quite strong. As long as you do not let these emotions, or the relationship, interfere with your studies, it should not be a problem.

What I tell my kids, "you're only young once, so enjoy yourself, just not at the expense of your future."

    Good luck.

I know you've got your reasons but i couldnt help but laught at this response....

The answer is pretty simple. You have to ask her this question. Ask her if she's willing to let you study and devote time to the exam and take a backseat to it at times, if she says yes, and you're cool with it too, then go for it. If she says no, then decide what's more important, the exam or the girl.

If you are serious about your studies, like I was in college, you can have all sorts of relationships while studying. Yes, every part of a relationship can be executed while studying fervently. Dinner? Check. Movie? Difficult, but yes, with a head lamp. Teh sex? Definitely, yes, especially if you make an audio file of yourself reading your textbook(s).

This is why China is doing well. They turn down booty to go study.

    This is not possible!

    LOL this is funny.

i think you guys are under estimating the importance of his exam. college entrance exam in China is a lot worse than GRE for example. it is probably the most important exam in his life.
