Other than throwing them in the garbage . .. Actually some of them work . . well . . but not well enough to keep. I have several Dot Matrix Printers. . .without any use for them a Apple IIC [1st comp :~(] Rocket River
I know of one place offhand that takes computers, parts, etc... TMP Computers... I don't have a number but have seen them advertise in houston.wanted I would look in the yellow pages for Computer Salvage or something like that.... good luck
Houston actually has one of the first Computer Recycling centers in the US. It's on Westpark, in between 59 and 610. Just before you get to Chimney Rock. I'm consistently driving over there to drop off loads of computer parts. VERY well done. DO NOT throw away computer parts -- many of them have environmentally harmful chemicals and substances.
The National Safety Council estimates that by 2004 there will be 315 million obsolete computers in the U.S., many of them destined for landfills, incinerators or for export as hazardous waste. Some estimate that number will be half a billion or more by 2007. And estimates are that only one quarter of the obsolete machines have been thrown out.
Here's the article.
