I need help getting my Houston local channels with Dish Network. It turns out I moved just past the boundary (around 2 miles) and am now stuck with Tyler and Longview locals. So far I have been able to see every Astros game in the last week and the last Texans game But I'm not seeing the next Texans games on the guide and I'm worried I'm going to only see a couple if any and I have no clue what I'm going to get when the Rockets start.

If I didn't fall for the convenience of setting up everything (phone, dsl and satellite) at once over the cell I probably would have them. I talked to the local satellite store and the owner told me to call up Dish in a month or two to tell them I moved back to Houston or an area that gets the Houston locals and that I moved and set the dish back up on my own. Then ask to get my programing changed to reflect the area I'm in.

Has anyone tried that or know of a way I can get the Houston locals.

I'm scared and I need help.

You'll probably get all the texans games and most astros games. Since Dallas and Houston are in split conferences, the games show on different channels so generally most cities will pick up both. Baseball is the same way. You'll generally get both.

You'll get screwed when it comes to basketball though. The coverage area for Rockets basketball blows and most of the state is Mavericks/Spurs country. I live in Austin and we don't get any Rockets games except games on national tv.
