Rather than give something up in a trade or sign someone for money that will hurt us next summer, let's see what Marcus Cousin can do at backup center. He played well at UH and is on the Rockets' summer league team in Vegas. He's a legit 6'11" and is pretty athletic.

Here's hoping the Rockets/Morey can find another gem.

In 30 minutes a game his senior year he averaged 11 and 8 with 2 blocks per game. As a hometown boy, I'm glad we're going to take a look. I'm not expecting much though.

I'm not a Coug. Have any of you seen this kid play?

Rockets need to trade so they don't add to team salary when acquiring more players/s.

Trading the rights to Taylor might also be good move. He might not settle for the min and that's all the Rockets can offer this year after using all the MLE on Ariza.

I agree let's start him. He should add at least 10 losses to the tank season.

I watched at least 80% of his home starts in the past 2 years. He is an okay player, skinny and tall for sure, he isnt very bulky. He doesn't have a great offensive game, and if the opponent was able to, could muscle him well out of position.

That being said, he is a pretty decent defender, and he was only at UH for 2 years (JUCO transfer). He obviously did learn a few things after his first year. Hes gotten better at posting up, and he was less foul-prone on the defensive end. He doesnt have a reliable hook shot or impressive post moves. Im sure if he had spent more time in the system, he might have developed some offensive arsenal (then again, penders heavily relies on his guards).

I guess the Rockets should take a look at him, but hes more of a project than some guy who will immediately jump in and contribute. ( I thought CD already had his hands full with Dorsey  haha ). I honestly wouldn't have considered him that much, but hey- if he can impress some people in Vegas, then Im all for a coog on the Rockets!

Actually he has a good body, he isnt rail thin at all. I thought all year long he would be a good pro center. I am not saying he is Yao or but I mean he sure as heck can be as good as Oden.
