So I'll be coming to Houston for the first time since last Thanksgiving next week, and I wanted to take my wife to Astroworld. I used to work there when I was in high school and I thought it would be fun and all.

But the tickets are $42 now! Insane!

I know Kroger used to have discount tickets, and I'm sure they still do, but does anyone know how much they are?

Better yet, anyone know about some secret great place to get discount tickets? Any help would be very appreciated.

    Thanks. :)

ebay should net you some cheap tickets. I've been low balling for some Kings Dominion tickets.

Great. Thanks for your help guys, but one thing I didn't consider was that Astroworld is only open on the weekends now that School is back in session. Also, coincidentally, next Saturday is Boy Scout day, which means the place will be a madhouse.

So after all that, looks like we won't be going after all. (flying out Sunday afternoon) :(

i never liked stupid astroworld anyway  :(

do any of you out there remember in the early 1980's when astroworld had 5cents a pound days.... i think the minimum was $5 and the max was $10 (100-200 pounds). i think a regular kids ticket was $17.99 or something....

i remember seeing some women just pay the ten bucks instead of standing on those scales they put by the ticket booths....
