Disappointment: That would be the games against Dallas and Phoenix. Both games we led going into the 4th. Both games that we led in the last minutes of the 4th. Both games we led the majority of the minutes. Both games that we needed to win and both games that we lost. Ouch. Expectations: I said the Rockets would win 10 games in February and 10 games in March. Well we only got 9 in February and with 9 games left in March we already have 4 wins. With every loss the next win becomes more and more important. We really need to get 6 more wins in this month. After looking at the schedule I see the Suns loosing 5-8 more games, the T-Wolves loosing 7-11 more games and the Rockets loosing 5-7 more games. If we take the higher number for all the teams, the final records like this: The Suns 49-33, The T-Wolves 44-38 and The Rockets 46-36. That is good enough for the 8th seed in the play-offs. It also makes the final games against the Suns and Wolves even more important. Every game should be played like a play-off game from here on out. Hope: Here’s hoping that my prediction about the Mavs fall well short. They have 3 games left against the T-Wolves and 2 games left against the Suns. Here’s hoping the Mavs dominate those teams. The Rockets still have a game left against both the Wolves and the Suns with both games are at home. These are two home games we will have a chance to make a statement and I think they will. In the big picture the Rockets still have a much more favorable schedule when compared to the Wolves and Suns. I think we are still in good shape and believe we will still be playing when the post season rolls around. ------------------
