Thought he was useful early in season. Some defensive lapses and bad shot selection. But no more pt even with injury. Barry and Head took his minutes, it seems. Perhaps Wafer injured? Outplayed? Adelman got annoyed at mistakes? Kind of strange.

for 20 years now, Adelman has always been scared to go to his bench

My guess is that Morey isn't done dealing yet, and Adelman has been playing Head instead of Wafer to boost Head's trading value. I can see Wafer being a solid contributer come playoffs.

I think he should get more burn especially when the Rox get into the penalty. The rox should make sure he and brooks are on the court when the rox get in the bonus. They are the only ones that will consistently attack the basket. I don't know why he's not playing, but I would hope he will play more.

Wafer, to his credit, continues to cheer for his teammates from the bench. Even though he has a pretty good case for getting more playing time. I'm rooting for him.

I'd love to see that. Again, I don't see another logical reason that Head gets PT ahead of Wafer. Wafer is about equal to Head in shooting and superior in all other aspects.

I have been wondering the same thing. It will be interesting to see if he gets any court time during this road trip given the schedule.

This has been bugging me as well, when we are missing a wing, why is our most athletic option glued to the bench?

I would love to see Wafer getting some time at the SG spot particularly with a good passer like Tmac.

Wafer is not good enough to create for himself but put him in there with Brooks or Tmac which draw the D in, and he can be effective.

I'd like to see Wafer being a solid contributor again.

Maybe he was missing his defensive rotations?
Maybe he was getting outplayed in practice?

Head did have that 20 pt game a few weeks ago.

Which is why players like Bobby Jackson, Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks just to name a few were able to make a name for themselves right?

The real reason why Wafer is getting no PT is because he got hurt and Head started playing decent and we need to give Barry some PT so he can integrate himself into the system. I like Wafer but don't blame his lack of PT on Adelman.

I disagree, he has proved that he can create by going to the basket. He will either get a layup, dunk, or get fouled. This is what the Rox lack so much of.

True on occassion, and it is why I would like to see him more to see if he can do it consistently.

Adelman has a storied history of burning out his starters during crucial games and stubbornly refusing to take a risk on the bench when needed.

Witness Game 6 of the '92 Finals, for instance. Blazers were up 15 to start the 4th and Phil Jackson went with four bench players plus Pippen, while Adelman left in almost his all his starters for the entire final quarter. The Blazers' starters *predictably* ran out of gas by the end of the game and only managed 6 points in the final 4.5 minutes, on their way to losing the lead and the game. Sound familiar?

nothings wrong w/ wafer, he just isnt a player who'll get consistent pt. no one on the bench will get consitent pt.

wafer is a good player for a backup 2/3.

rox been playing weird now but when januray passes and wafer still getting no minutes we'll know somethings is mos def not right w/ this team. he needs to be out there w/ his athleticism and shooting.

    very good pickup btw

Tonight against the Raptors is a good chance for Wafer to get some playing time. The Raptors have several big wings (Parker, Kapono, Moon) and I doubt we can get away with putting Brooks on Parker. He's really underrated defensively and can back smaller guys down.

i dunno i was just talking to a friend about that, he hustles, goes to the basket hard, i don't see why we don't use him. o yah, we have a r****ded coach. sorry, i never cared for adelman much, i was a fan of jvg's slow boring games because it utilized yao better. plus he spoke out against the refs, which i'll always love.

Why Adelman let head play so long, Wafer is much better thsn Luther. He will do better... Even better than tmac.
