Anybody know how to disable the governor on a Penske diesel moving van? Moving to California on Sunday and if I can drive 65 or 70 instead of 55, that would save me a lot of time. Thanks.

55??? OUCH! The Penskes I rented in League City to move to Vegas allowed me to go 65 and 70.

I've read that some of them don't have governors, but i've also read reports of some limiting the speed to 55 or 57 mph. Last time I moved cross country in a van almost 8 years ago, I think the Ryder I used limited to 55 or 60. It was painful. I will be pulling a car behind me and I did last time. That could be the reason for the governor.

    You're not Penske material.
