    what's with those elbows...

    The Bulls lost Kirk Hinrich to a concussion and bruised jaw about 3 minutes into the game, when he took an elbow to the face from a driving Nowitzki. Hinrich, who had rotated to the block, stayed down for several minutes before being helped to the locker room. A CT scan taken at Rush University Medical Center revealed no structural damage.

    "We took him over to Rush and got a CT scan, which is normal, but he's a little foggy upstairs," Bulls trainer Fred Tedeschi said. "He was released. He's at home tonight and we will re-evaluate him tomorrow."

    They will also re-evaluate Luol Deng, who lost a tooth after being elbowed by Nowitzki while going for a rebound with about 3 minutes left in the game. Deng stayed in and finished another strong performance with 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting. He scored 28 in a victory Friday at Boston and 18 in a loss to Detroit the following night.

    he's trying really hard to get rid of that 'soft' label.

    Ever since Nash left he's been getting meaner and meaner, chewing out teammates and dishing out elbows. What happen to that goofy guy that gave Swift a piggyback ride??

    Until he injures Keith Van Horn the Mavs will not have any chance of winning a ring. With Amare out, Dirk is easily my second most hated player in the league after Kobe.

    Word is they're changing his name to Irk Nowitzki.

    This comes after it was officially declared that the 'D' be missing from his name just as the 'D' is missing from his game.

    And yet somehow I suspect he'll avoid the 2 game suspension levvied on Josh Smith for an elbow. Go figure :rolleyes:

    I haven't seen the video but apparently it was inadvertant

    From what I've read, Hinrich tried to get in front of him to take the charge and he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time

    Same thing with Lu. Inadvertant. Still, he knocked out the Bulls best player in the first quarter, and put a red-hot Deng on the bench in the 4th. When Deng came back, he wasn't the same and didn't hit another shot.
