I've been with Time Warner RR for about 7 years and added digital phone about 2 years ago. We pay about $170-80 for three services.

BellSouth is offering flat-rate unlimited phone plus Direct TV plus DSL for $99/month-- not an introductory rate either.

Any reason for me not to make the shift? I'm having a hard time thinking of any other than the slight inconvenience of a new email address. I mostly use URL re-directs anyway...

And do you currently have HD channels?

That sounds like an awesome deal...I need to do some research to see if they do a similar deal in Dallas with At&t...I hate Comcast/TW...

They match competitor's prices. Just tell them what their deal is and tell them you are willing to make the switch.

And if you don't get a good price the first time just call them again and try your luck with another person. I'm getting internet for 20 dollars a month and cable for only 30.

It sounds like a really good deal. Do you have a link? I'm curious about the channel lineup and DSL speed.

I have the SBC Elite DSL package and I love it. I'm getting between 4.5 to 5 Mbps consistently. I used to have RR, but the speeds would spike and sag so drastically I got sick of it. I still have TWC, but only because they don't charge an arm and a leg for HD/DVR boxes. DirecTV charges like $199 to own one and Dish charges about that much to lease one. They do have more extensive HD programming, but until they offer a HD/DVR box in one of their promotions I guess I have to stick with TWC.

Keep in mind also that sometime within the next few months, ATT is rumored to be bringing Project Lightspeed to Houston. It's the new IPTV service that runs on fiber optic lines. Supposed to be cheaper than both sat and cable and offer a wider variety of programming.
