Where's a good place for some cheap happy hour margaritas around the Galleria area that just happens to be open. I'm going to stick around this part of town until the traffic dies down. I'm on a budget, so nothing too terribly pricy (so no Pappasittos).

El Patio on Westheimer between Fountain View and Voss, on the north side of the street.

Get a couple of the blue margaritas and you won't remember the rest of your night.

Whatever you do - stay away from Maggie Rita's at Sage and West Alabama as well as the Mexican joint on the south side of Westheimer at Westheimer and Augusta (can't remember the name - its in a strip mall)

    Disgusting 'ritas at both.

That's funny...Maggie Rita's was on the list. Ruchi's is awesome though, but I've never drank there.

The problem with El Patio is that it could still take a while to get down there. Plus I have to run by a co-workers house on W. Alabama on the other side of 610 too.

How's the happy hour at Tapatia?

    Hey, f-you. :D :D :D

Seriously, that's what I would normally do, but after the hell that was yesterday's drive home, I want to be in the car as little as possible.

Canyon Cafe has great happy hour deals and surprisingly good house margaritas. I work over there and Canyon is the best happy hour I've found in those parts.

As long as your inside the loop, I'd head straight to Cafe Adobe. They've always had a good happy hour, and half price food upstairs.

Hmmm to both. I think the girl went to Cafe Adobe for lunch yesterday, so Canyon Cafe may be it.

The only problem with that is it'll be so packed I guess. But I'm guessing it'll be that way everywhere.

Don't get Canyon Cafe's weakass version of the Trudy's Mexican Martini - it will give you heartburn for the entire weekend...
