D’Souza knows better than anyone. He’s made a career (despite a little hiccup of criminality) out of preying on dumb people. Not sure why the Right is going after Roberts though. He’s the best friend the GOP has had in decades. This rebuke is just basically his way of saying “tone it down on the courts because it needs to retain credibility for the times when me, Kavanaugh, Alito, Gorsuch, and Thomas deliver the next round of 5-4 decisions where we need to be able to convince the public there is nothing political about our decision”. Roberts is smart to do what he’s doing now honestly. He needs the public and the media to make sure they don’t go into 2020 with the presidential campaign being about them and a potential candidate running on adding seats to the Court because of the partisanship.
D'zousa is a dummy if he does not understand Roberts' intent with his statement. Roberts made that claim to regain confidence from the American public in the federal courts. He probably isn't that naive to believe no federal judges have political biases. He just doesn't want the American public to think that. Dinesh probably understands why Roberts made the claim. He's just a troll trying to garner clicks and followers.
He should be thankful. If they weren't dummies he wouldn't have a career in riling them up with nonsense.
