One dunk that changed the lives of two young basketball players. Tracy McGrady‘s windmill over James Felton at the 1996 ABCD camp might be the most infamous dunk of all-time, simply because for so long, it seemed there was no video of it, and the stories – such as Lamar Odom calling it one of the greatest moments in his basketball life – took it to mythical status. You need to only watch the first five seconds of this video to find it. Is that dunk 100 percent the right one? Apparently it is.

Here's a good story on the dunk and James Felton from ESPN:

I've heard this story so many times, but I still don't understand how a breakaway dunk on someone can knock someone "off the map." This kind of stuff happens all the time in games. Everyone who plays any defense gets dunked on. If you read the entire ESPN article, you'll that it said Felton just didn't like basketball, and that it tormented him that he was so good at it. His dropoff had nothing to do with some random dunk in a game - that stuff is just playground mythology.

I'm really happy for T-Mac and for his windmill finish,

but his brother had the greatest dunk of all time.

That doesn't sound like the same dunk? He dunked it with his right hand in the video.

The video doesn't look like the description to me. In the vid he dunks it with his right hand. And they don't jump at the same time, the defender doesn't reach while jumping, and t-mac doesn't bring it down to his waist with his left.

Just more TOF's trying to hype their favorite player. Tracy only had indvials accomplishments, nothing leading a team to success. You have to remember Tracy's 1st love was baseball not basketball, maybe that's why he was lacking.

If that is the dunk what a letdown.

Lamar Odom said it was the best dunk he ever saw.

Yeah TOF wrote that article that described the dunk. You act like TOF on this board made up the story.

I guess Lamar Odom is a TOF.

Nice dunk, but why is this under Garm? Garm is for real Rockets players, not first round exit drama queens who burn bridges.
