For all those idiots wanting to bench Jabari for Tari and leave Brooks in after 10 games. Let’s compare last year stats for the two: https://stathead.com/tiny/1iPh2 Jabari is off to a slow start and Dillon is pretty much what he has always been. Dillon has a really tough time with quick perimeter players on defense. He does great against skinny guys he can get under. He is not a good post defender either. Jabari is much better in the post. Dillon was a good addition to help set our culture. With the emergence of guys that hustle as much, with better skills his time here should be up.
I’ve been patient for too long with the trolls on this board. Negativity for our young guys is out of hand. I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!
Even if Dillon's shot is not falling he can guard up and down at his position.if Tari and Amen keep improving we can't afford Bari. Bari needs to be traded not because he is bad but because we have a log jam at the the 3,4 and, 5.
I respect Dillon and was one of the few on the board that liked the signing. You can look it up if you want. He just is the 4th best forward on this team and is eating up development minutes for guys that are better. It reminds me of all the love for mediocre Pat Beverly. Fans love hustle guys and Dillon can be a strong contributor on a different team, but he is holding minutes from guys that need them. I have never been a fan only or a hater, just a realist.
It may be a flawed stat in terms of providing who's the better player, but it's very much reflecting what actually happened on the court. And for this year, when Brooks is on the court the Rockets are really good. And when Jabari is on the court, not so much.
Maybe, but he is 21 with better stats than Dillon last year. 10 games does not make a season. What we do know is that Dillon is much the same player he has always been and is not likely to be a starter on this team next year. So why waste valuable minutes on a stopgap guy?
