I had to pick up a new digital camera because my 18 year old stepson took my Sony DSC P8 w/1 gb memory stick (after i told him not to) to Spring Break and proceeded to LOSE IT!!! It's been a week and I still haven't spoken to him except to tell him that his income tax check is mine. Regardless, I did some ebay shopping and found the cheapest p200 for $215.00(display model) and $225.00 new, plus shipping of course. They are a lot of good cameras out there, but I liked the feel of my p8 since I do a lot of car shows and I watch my kids at a lot of events, and the p8 fit right in my pocket and was sturdy. The only 2 drawbacks were the 3.2 mp resolution, and the 3x optical zoom. Well, the p200 has 7.2 mp res, but still the 3x optical. Nonetheless, I was about to click on a "Buy it Now" on the new p200 for $225 + shipping when I figured I'd look through the local electronics strores. I found the p200 from $300-$400. Finally, I checked Sam's. I found them for $199.00 and went right over and picked one up. I haven't had a lot of time to play with it, but the first thing I noticed was it was even smaller than the p8. This thing is as small as my Siemens cell phone. I did pick up a new 1 gb memory stick pro duo, and I will be confiscating the 512 mb duo stick from stepsons PSP, just to be a jerk. I guess I just wanted to share my story and spread the word on a good price (I think) for a good, small digi cam.
Regarding your stepson...here is some advice I read in another thread: "While you've lost some material things and had your heart broken, feel some relief money comes and goes, and your heart will heal...faster than you realize."
That's some rock solid advice!!! Seriously though, I'm making a bit of a stand because he's been making some very bad decisions lately, (fired from job and picked up DUI) and tough love is all that is left. I have calmed down in that I don't want to throw him out of the house. He's picked up on this being almost the last straw and has gone out to look for jobs the last two days.
... waiting to see that camera take some good pony and sally action pictures... (I am not talking adult homemadie movies, now... )

I have the very same camera and yes I purchased it at sams as well. I absolutely love the camera especially for the price. It takes great pictures and the size of the camera is a huge plus considering the one reason I hardly ever took photos cause I never wanted to carry a huge camera.
