    I hope the HISD bond issue fails. It's too close to call.

    i worked as a poll clerk for this election. we had a 7% turnout rate on election day. :eek:

    can one vote for these local propositions if one is not a US citizen, although a permant resident and has lived a long time in the city?

    I really wanted to but was not able to. I, too, hope the HISD bonds didn't pass.

    According to the Chron, the HISD Bond issue passed....barely. A margin of 2,000 votes out of 85,000 votes cast.

    N/A, we don't get to vote on city elections as I am outside of city limit. I did vote in the county election last year though. I live in Indiana by the way.
