was briefly at RL Paschal High School and Laurinburg Institute his senior year before deciding to attend and play at Heritage Christian Academy in Cleveland, Texas, where he averaged 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 blocks per game.

Wafer is only the seventh McDonald's High School All-American to play at Florida State University. During the game, he scored 29 points on 13 of 20 shooting from the field and had 8 rebounds. He also finished second to LeBron James in the McDonald's All-American slam-dunk contest.

Too bad he's not another Lebron :) It's pretty obvious he's got skills. I mean everyone in the NBA does. I hope he does prosper into a solid rotation guy for us though. So far, so good!

Haha nice wikipedia work ;) I just corrected the mistake though, which is the 29 points he supposedly scored in the McDonald's High School All-American game. He only scored 8 and I'm very doubtful about those high school numbers, it seems like some1 made up a whole lot of crap. What I just found out though, after some serious research, is that Wafer scored 30 points on 7/12 from three against Chris Paul's, who scored 29, with Florida St. to stop a 10 game winning streak of Wake Forest.

Heritage is a very very small school. They have churned out quite a few D1 prospects over the last 5-10 years.

Did you know that by simpling replacing a couple of letters, and adding a few others, Von Wafer can easily be changed to spell Vanilla Wafer?

    It's true. It' science...

I'd ask everyone to consider making thread titles actually mean something. It's just like an e-mail subject line...summarize the thread! Don't just write the beginning of your post..

Everyone in the NBA was a living God in high school, and a star in college.

He really has it all: the shot, the athleticism and the European sounding name that also sounds like a delicious cookie.
