Yes. Two minutes after I arrived from my adventurous commute I got a text telling me to work from home. That is NOT cool!
I'm east of Houston and made my 15 minute commute with no issues. Granted I only have 2 overpasses to cross. One was not too bad if you drove slow (Some idiot in front of me found out what happens when you hit it at 70) and the other I took a back road and bypassed it. We started school 2 hours late and I expected a ton of kids out. My first class has over 85% attendance. I told them I would rather a short day than have to do a bad weather make up on Memorial Day. They agreed.
I was suppose to be at work at 11 but then it got pushed back to 1pm. Really no point to go in at one now.
In Chicago....... on Monday it is supposed to be -50 with wind chill....... typical depressing, crappy winter here.
I just got in about 20 minutes ago, but then again I own my own company, so nobody really cares when I come in. On the other hand, my employees were here like champs.
