Let me start out by saying this is a definite morbid subject. I don't know why I was thinking about this, but it was something that occured to me just the other day, and I wanted everyone's thoughts.

Did you ever wonder if any of the BBS posters on this board have died and were never able to come back? With well over 7000 members now, it occured to me that with that number, the odds are that someone was posting on this site (could be young or old) and something tragic happened and they were never able to post again. And because the majority of the people on this site probably don't know any other posters personally and outside of the BBS, none of us would ever really know about it.

It's a depressing thought, to be certain. I was wracking my brain today trying to think of a way to somehow let the BBS know if I somehow died suddenly, without warning, and I couldn't really think of anything. I know this sounds kind of ridiculous because, after all, it is only an internet message board, but I feel like I know some of you better than I know a great many of my real life acquaintances, most of which would know within a day or two if I suddenly passed...

I don't know what this thread is supposed to be about exactly. Maybe just a memorial to any posters that could have died and that we never found out about. Maybe just reminiscing of old posters that never visit the board anymore. Whatever you want, I just thought I would throw this idea out there and hear everyone's thoughts.

Also, since this topic is a far cry from sunshine up the ass, let me go ahead and give the the official Holden seal of depression.

    :(

All I know is how terrible I felt waiting to hear from mcmark after 9-11. And I don't even know the guy! I've been on this board too long to not care about most of you!

My wife knows that should something happen to me that I would want everybody here informed. She'd either get a username and post a thread...or MadMax might do it for her.

    Either way...if I die...you all will know.

Here's to hoping that won't be anytime soon.
