Before. Way, way before. The irony is... I started following the Rockets during the first championship run. In the early days of clutchcity, such recent fans were known as "bandwagon" fans and no one knew whether or not we would last. Now you're OK (or, trusted not to be a flash in the pan) as long as you were around before Yao.

I knew Clutch back in 1996-7.

 

I was part of the Roderick Rhodes rush.

 

I came to Houston the the year before we got Steve, became a Rockets fan after that. But I didn't know CC.net till Yao got here, I found this place by follow a link to Chance's "Yao Ming Song".

 

I've been here longer than most Rockets fans.

That's really sad.

I was checking this site out all time from about 1997 when I was in High School, but it wasn't until I got a job after college that I actually signed up for an account out of boredom while sitting in the office. I'm glad I did

Can't you just look at everybody's "Joined" date. People just got to have a numerical representation to everything. The fact that 50% of my threads started, have been polls notwithstanding.

 

I signed up a few months before, but had been visiting since around 98 or 97, when it was still in the .com days. I was a big time lurker.

 

Before, havent found a better message board since, actually i dont really even check other message boards because it cant be any better than cc.net

 

Been visiting the front page for many years. I remember finding it while in the computer lab at college and that was 95 or 96. One day I stumbled across the bbs portion by accidently clicking on the wrong link. Lurked for a long time. If I remember right, I registered a screen name just to reply to some jackass dissin' the Kenny Smith/Vernon Maxwell backcourt.

I started following the Rockets....well, right after they moved here from San Diego.

 

started back when the first round was only a best-of-three and we beat the lakers (coming off a championship) with 2 wins at their place.....

I lurked for about a year before I created a username.

 

was at this site before it was clutchfans.net, before it was clutchcity.net, I was here when it was clutchcity.com, but never registered and lurked.

Then when clutch required registration to read the posts, the Rox played horribly with francis's migrane, and my computer died on me for 3 month during the freshmen year of college, I went a way for a while. Ofcourse when we got the first pick, I came back on the board and start pimping Yao.

so where does that put me?
