With reports of Byron Scott and Jason Kidd fueding at the helms of the New Jersey Nets orginization, being the oppurtunistic person I am, can we in any way shape or form profit off of this. I can't help but assume that if we didn't jump to JVG we might have had a chance at Scott. Of course I cannot blame the Rockets orginization for hiring him, but I can speculate on who might be a better coach for the team. Leaving out all JVG haters, is there a single person out there who feels that maybe we made a mistake. Of course Scott has not been fired yet, but Kidd has not been signed yet either. Which leads me to my next point of discussion, assuming Kidd leaves, can we get him? I am currently out of the loop of cap precations but I also can't help but wonder if Kidd's future, his final years in the NBA end where they started, Texas. Fans have always complained that we need a good point, who none other than the great Jason Kidd. Not only could he play for us, but is it such a stretch that he mentor the Great Stevie Francis, or as i like to call him Stevie Wonderful. I know this is all speculation and has very little ground to amount to anything, but its been a long off-season and I can't help but think out loud. So shoot me I guess. These are just a few thoughts...

First we complained that Les wasn't moving fast enough in the coaching search, now he jumped the gun?

Ya just can't satisfy some people...even if you sold your soul to the devil.

After jumping the gun too soon, cows typically come home to roost followed by the a grain of sand breaking the camels back, which usually leads to "glass is half full, half a dozen of the other" type of thinking.

I was just thinking the opposite: that Kidd should have tried to force his coach out much sooner so that he could get someone like Van Gundy. If the NJ job was open at the time, Van Gundy definitely would have wanted it. He's probably kicking himself right now, in fact -- or his wife is.

Byron Scott is not the reason or even a part of the reason the Nets got to the finals the last two years. JVG has always been a big reason of his team's success. He is a much better coach.

    hey, uh.. mr. satan?
look.. i know we've never really hung out or tried to really get along, but could you make the rockets good this year? i can't promise you anything big in return, er.. i can't promise you anything at all, but at least make the lakers the biggest losers for all the offseason stuff they've been doing (i.e. kobe goes to prison where he'll be sexually assaulted, karl malone never gets his scoring record, and malone and GP never get a ring). i guess that's about it. shaq will probably get fat again off of burger king, doritos, crunch bars, pepsi, and radio shack. i wouldn't worry about him too much. he's suffered enough for putting up with kobe.
