I'm not a Simpsons freak like a lot of people on these boards but I've noticed they say a lot of **** that a non-cartoon show just couldn't get away with. I find myself thinking, "they didn't just say that" quite a bit. It's kind of funny like that.
Didn't say. I disagree about the state of the show as well. They get funnier and funnier upon multiple viewings.

What about the episode where the kids took over the school and tied Skinner up in an equipment bag from the phys. ed. department? To escape he asks a chipmunk to chew through his ball sack. There was also a reference to "The Killing Fields" in that episode that really surprised me.
ahh the "chew through my ball sack" episode also had possibly my favorite moment ever where homer was driving with flanders, they hit something, and homer says "hope it was flanders." hardest i can remember laughing in years. about tonight, i didn't even hear that waddle thing and probably wouldn't have thought of it like that until now anyway. homer - do purple rain little richard - shut up homer - ooh michael jackson just told me to shut up *did he say michael jackson there? i could only hear the last name and it sounded like jackson so i assumed michael
